Jim was determined to enlist even as an underage teenager and found himself in Jerusalem in the troubles there. |

A Danish citizen, Patrick enlisted in the British Army and served in Burma. |

Juliana Mallinson:
Juliana joined the Land Army and met her husband as they both served in the war. |

When her fiancé, Ken, joined the Army Gladys volunteered for the WAAF. They were apart for 4 years. |

Joining the Tank Regiment, Ken fought in North Africa, Italy and Greece as part of Montgomery's 8th Army. |
